I was a Crown Royal bottle one year. I made the purple sack out of felt and used yellow felt for the Crown logo on the bag. Then I got some yellow yarn and whip stitched it all the way around the bag and made a "draw string" with the rest of the yarn. I also made a crown for me to wear. I just put on some fish net pantyhose and heels. The bag was big and fitted over my body and closed at the neck. I won first prize at the bar we went to! People were actually trying to buy it off my back! Good luck with your costume and happy haunting!

The Halloween section at www.craftster.org has lots of creative ideas. A couple that were mentioned there were Satan's secretary and Evil Girl Scout (make your own merit badges that go with the theme).

One year, I helped my daughter dress up as a huge box of popcorn. We used big pieces of white foam board for the sides, and I glued big wide strips of red ribbon to the sides, to make it look like movie theater popcorn. We drew the word popcorn on the front and back, and hot glued real popcorn on the top and spilling over the sides. Added holes for arms and head. It sounds weird, but it really did turn out pretty neat looking, everyone loved it!

Cut out a large piece of square foam, About 30 inches on all sides. Glue on foam rods about 2.5" in diameter and 2 feet long.
This makes a light foam table. Then cut a hole in the middle and slip the table over your head and wear it as a skirt. Then wear a White T shirt with a big number "1" painted on it...
There, you're a 1 night stand...Get it?
I think it would be cute, inteligent and still a little low brow humor. AND it wont cost you much at all.

Be a car. You can make the car out of a cardboard box and then paint the box up( paint on the doors). Add wheels and a steering wheel. You can use one of the flaps as a windshield and paint that up with the wipers too. Hang the box over your shoulders with string. It's creative I saw someone do that about ten years ago. She was so cool in her car outfit.

i have been wanting to do something different and thought about paige matthews on charmed. she has cute little cheeks like i do and i am thinking about being her for halloween as a wood nymph.
in the show a wood nymph is a fairy like creature only human size. she and her two freinds ( they come in threes :P ) guard the forest and make flowers bloom and trees grow healthier. they wear these light green outfits with long ties with flowers on the end and flowers through their hair. when paige was one of these creatures in an episode, it made her hair long and an orangey red. i have long blonde hair and can just buy something to dye my hair temporairly.
i think its a pretty good idea. or even as her when they were greek goddesses

Go as a scary trafic cone!!! All you have to do is dress up in black and paint yellow and white strips on your clothes to make yourself look like the street and then put like a fake rat on it and it can be road kill. And then wear a traffic cone with tire streaks and a plastic rat on top on your head. And paint your face black with a yellow or white strip on it depending on how your clothes look. I was that last Halloween and I made it myself and many people loved it.

You could go as a chicken. Get a white hoodie and some red felt cut the felt in the shape of a roosters comb and sew it to the top of the hood. Put on a pair of red or orange sweat pants. Go to your local Kentucky Fried Chicken and get them to give you a clean bucket for gathering goodies and there ya go.

be a cow with udders or clean out a pumpkin make eyes and nose and mouth. Mount it on a fake table with table cloth. Put maybe some kind of non-heat light in it with your head and be a jack-o-lantern.

if you have someone to go with, then howie mandel and a model w/ a briefcase from deal or no deal. oh and you could also go as tom cruise and lana in risky business, except you wear the tighty whiteys with a button up shirt and sunglasses and the guy dresses up like the hooker girl "lana".
