why do the girls in horror movies always fall down when being chased by a killer?

Not just girls, any victim the killer is after. Girls sometimes lose a shoe leaving a trail for the killer to find her by. Or they go upstairs!

It's not always just girls, it usually anyone the killer is after.... to build suspense obviously.. but think about it.. if you are running for your life as fast as can, scared out of your mind do you think you are paying attention to the ground.. lots of things to trip over especially in the woods..and you get tired pretty quick when you are running... easier for you to stumble and fall. more than likely at some point anyone would fall down - it's just a fact of life it would be less believable if someone didn't fall when running for their life

Good question. Girls in horror movies always make the wrong decisions. I guess if they were smarter and actually got away, the movie wouldn't be very interesting.

lol. yeah. it's all part of the horror. it's also the same reason why you'd find girls check out suspicious noises and other things around the place and dont manage to get very far. doesnt happen in men often cos of the belief that men are more stronger and wiser than women.

The same reason they go upstairs to investigate a loud noise they heard! The same reason they RUN in those really high heels! lol U know when u see a chick in the shower- she will get killed! lol They make us look soooooo stupid in the horror flicks! Id never ever rush upstairs or into a cellar with no flashlight to check out a noise I heard! Oh hell no!

Nah, my fav is in the movies when the gun runs out of bullets and then the guy throws the empty gun at the other guy he was shooting at, LOL just once I'd like to see someone get hit in the head with the empty gun and yell "OUCH", or do one of those "Hollywood falls" off of a bridge bridge from it. What ? Hollywood does'nt want to be cheesy ? Thats where they draw the line ? LOL !

4. They were drinking
5. They were the pretty kids in high school
it falls under one of these. the common rules of slasher movies
