My co-worker were conversing she said that light skin females think they a prettier than dark skin females. And they feel that they can get away with more things. Do you agree and why

i know that in our ( USA) culture that is the way most people see it media stuff it down your throat. but dark skin women are just as beautiful ans light skin women.it is how the women carries her self.

It doesnt matter what skin color you have there are some light skin people that are butt ugly and there are some people with dark skin that are more beautiful and vice versa. It is the confidence in the person and how they behave. Also light skin people as beautiful as the world has been trying to tell us that they are or whatever, have a disadvantage over darker people their lack of melatonin causes them to age waaay quicker than those of us that were kissed by the sun!

Let me go check my calendar real quick...YEP, still 2006. ARE you KIDDING me?! That is so foolish!! I am black, you'd consider me light skinned and in no way do I have a superiority complex, neither an inferiority complex toward ANYONE. This lady is foolish. Don't take what she says into your brain, keep it surface. My Mom's darker than me, my husband is very very dark and I'm hoping my baby is born dark brown. I get very darkly tanned, as do my 5 sisters and we love it... wish it were permanent. Color struck people are small minded. Pretty or ugly has absolutely nothing to do with skin color. All the colors of the human rainbow are gorgeous in their own way. Quit trippin.
I must say that I have seen some ignorant white people (the supervisors at one company for which I used to work) place more trust in ladies who had straight hair and light skin.. If you were a ghetto girl, don't even apply. That pi**ed me off. Quit trippin.

No, because i see it everyday just like the first person said. Its all about the confidence, dark or light guys are attracted to the confidence not the color of your skin.

I think both are pretty! Why does one have to be better than the other. I've seen beautiful people AND ugly people with both skin tones.
Tans used to be a sign of health and vitality UNTIL people realized that the sun can cause cancer and premature aging. People who naturally have dark skin are lucky they don't have to risk their health for that darkness...........but there is a lot to be said for a peaches and cream skin like Nicole Kidman.....something about beautiful glowing skin that is very pretty.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We all have a tendency to want the opposite of what we have. We need to learn that there is more than one way to be beautiful.......accept what we are given at birth and try to accentuate the positive and be comfortable in our own uniqueness.
If you are referring to the difference between light skin and dark skin African Americans, I would say you would only have to look at someone as beautiful as Naomi Campbell as proof that dark skin African Americans can be drop dead gorgeous, and she is only one example.........I just wish she was as beautiful on the inside........but that's another topic.......LOL.
Whatever your skin color, accept it and be beautiful.........There is nothing more beautiful in my eyes than someone who is confident and proud of who they are!

just because you hv light skin, dosent mean ure prettier. there are so many dark skin chiks with the most beautiful fisique. in truth, light skin girls do get away with stuff, but so do darker skins. in my oppinion, its not a matter of prietier vs uglier. its preppy chiks tht have no confidence, and make fun of others who they feel are lower than themselves

Regular people, I usually find asian and caucasion women prettier. With models, I like the african american and middle eastern women far more.
As long as they're not working with racists, any women is capable of getting things done, regardless of skin tone. Your co-workers opinion (and any of ours for that matter) are based off personal experience, it's unfortunate she feels that way.
