Yes they had a tragdey in their community and we want to help. But in all actuallity they don't want help. They don't want our money. All they want is to be left alone so why can't we just leave them alone and let them mourn in peace?

True, the Amish community has had a serious tragedy in their community, and I think they would prefer the media get out of there area, but dont be fooled. They use community hospitals, grocery stores, dept stores and even have their own auctions to support themselves by selling canned goods, quilts, baked goods, woodworking and other things to the modern community or they could not survive. The Amish carpenters build modern beautiful homes with excellent craftsmanship and put electricity into them. They will be dependent on the modern world to pay for the hospital bills and medical care for their children, because the bills will be in the millions and there is no way they can come up with that kind of money.
I think they are greatful and in their own way are very appreciative of the more modern ammenities, but would prefer not to use them if possible.
I hope everyone finds it in their heart to pray for them and ask for Gods abundant mercy and love to provide for them.

The Amish have never actuallly been alone. There are tribes in Papa New Guinea who are still using stone, and have no idea of what a germ is. I consider this to be truly cut off from the world, not the Amish

The media isn't going to leave them alone because this is getting them ratings.
