Dont be fake, be yourself. Try not to get involved with ANYONES problems. If someone tells you something, keep it to yourself! unless told otherwise. Be careful who you trust. Keep all of your thoughts and feelings about people to yourself or else you will just cause more problems.(rumors) rumors spread like wild fire! But just enjoy everyday and be worry free.

i remember 8th grade. best year of my life. i had the best relations and friendships back then. even when everyone was all tense and worrying about grades and tests, i was carefree. of course i worked hard at home, but i was able to make myself seem like the unconcerned, unworried person that my friends enjoyed seeing. grades didn't really matter until high school, and then i had to start being serious. just do your best keeping up your grades but have a social life and enjoy 8th grade as much as possibe. after eighth grade, things are going to be harder and you'll have less time to spend with friends. if i could repeat any year of my life, it would definitely be 8th grade.

Ignore the idiots in your grade. Listen to your parents and your teachers. Learn from them, and know that you and they don't know everything. However, they have been around a lot longer than you and have seen a lot more things than you. Boys are less mature than girls, however, everybody grows up eventually. Stay away from drugs. Always show respect for yourself, others, and property. Practice good hygiene. Have good friends. If you hang around with the wrong crowd, people will judge you accordingly.
BTW, middle school grades do matter. If you do poorly in middle school, it will be like building a house on quicksand. In high school, you will be building on weak skills.
BTW, some middle schools offer high school courses. Those grades WILL show on your high school transcript.

Be friendly with the people who are close to you. If you think there are problems with you and another person get away from them before it becomes serious. With the friends you have now, keep them very close to you because you will need them someday and they will need you. And in 8th grade.. Have fun!! You're only in 8th grade with the people you know ONCE. And trust me once 8th grade is over you'll miss it.

Know how to manage your time, I learned that the hard way. 3 projects due within days of each other, and I had only started one. I had to work quite a bit.
As for the drama? Be yourself.

here's the thing. I know i shouldn't be telling you this but middle school grades don't matter. there's no such thing as a permanent record until 9th grade. all your grades won't matter until 9th. But, you still have to have a good work ethic so you can succeed in high school. As for drama, wait till u get to high school... but jus try to avoid drama.. its not worth it

Be friendy to people and you will make friends but don't follow others. Be true to yourself. Do not take drugs, drink, or smoke. The year will go fast. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Remember that in 10 years you won't remember most of it. I had a rotten time- I remember that, but I dont' remember the sting of any of the details anymore. To thine own self be true.

First realize that kids tend to be mean. Second, find out what your teacher wants in your assignments and try to give it to her.
