I've read in a parenting magazine that a PC should be placed in living room instead of your kids' room. This is to prevent your kids looking up adult / porn sites and surfing the net without your supervision. Hope it helps :)

Well, it all depends on who will be using the computer. If it will be just for your use. Then perhaps your bedroom would be a good place. But if it's going to be a family computer, then the family/living room would be a good place. It would also be nice if you have an extra room where you can turn it in to a little "office". That would be nice too. But it is really up to you, where you believe it would be convenient.

A computer used by children and/or teens should be placed in a common area where the screen is easily seen. It could be in a living room, kitchen, recreation room, etc.

Adults, of course, can have their computers in a home office, bedroom, den, etc.

It depends on the house where it is set up. The place it should not be set up is in a child's bedroom. So much has happened when the computer is away from parents' eyes.

Depends on the purpose of the computer, if it is for the family in general, then it should be in place where everyone can access it, plus it can be monitered by adults. If it is for business or has sensitive matrerial on uit then it should be in a place where the ones using must check with the owner of it before accessing it.

living room or the room where you spend the most time as a family
never a bedroom to much privacy for minors and even the most mature and trusted child could be persuaded these days by someone who makes it his hobby for pleasure

Ours is in the living room, but if we had a family room that would be fine also. We have a teenager and we need to monitor what is on the puter at all time.
