He who knows him (i.e. the Self) to be indestructible, unborn, eternal and immutable, how can such a person, O Partha, kill anyone or have anyone killed (through somebody).?

What we see in a dream, we think that true in sleep; but when we wake up, nothing that we saw in sleep lasts. Likewise all this is an illusion, and you are unnecessarily confused. Just as if you strike the shadow of a person, you do not hit his body (136-140), or if you break an earthen jar filled with water, the sun's reflection in it disappears, but the sun is not destroyed with it; or even if the monastery is pulled down, the space inside it, which is of the same form, remains intact in its original form; likewise even if the body is destroyed the Self does not perish. Therefore, 0 friend, do not get deluded by mere appearance.

Yes ! Very very true !
But the problem is when within this dream how to know that even this " I " is nothing but the dreamer himself , manifesting to the dreamer in his dream, and even asking 'who am I ? ', ' why and who created me? ' , etc, .. the ' I ' in the dream also suffers and is miserable inconsolably ! And therefore, how is this " I " to know that he has no life of his own first of all to be dead, and that it is just an illusionary dream !
Here comes our ancient spirituality. We attempt to become aware the illusionary nature of this dream and yet enjoy it FULLY.
For this, the perception level has to go beyond sense organs...
And, the dream example is just an 'indicative' one and cannot be equated EXACTLY to match the truth of our life ! These teachings through books, etc can give some hints, and a person has to seek it through his personal experience (may be with the help of a spiritual guide if possible ) !

Things we dream, do not occur in real life. They are simply echoes of moments and desires.
When we walk in the place of a murder, after years have passed, is that place still filled with negativity? Was that only a past event, and there are not atmospheric interruptions at that place?
Does the self not perish? It changes alot over time, yet remains the same. But when the physical body is gone, where does the soul go? Do I have peices of several souls inside?

I have not heard this particular saying or devotional. However I can agree with in in spirit. I firmly believe that all we see and experience is much like an awakening dream, and we are so involved in it that it has become our manifest world. We have so managed to create it so well that we cannot seem to awaken for fear of destroy our very being. O only to have the faith the step outside the dream and see the reality and the folly of it all.

It is Confuses that says: Are we a man dreaming we are a butterfly, or are we a butterfly dreaming we are a man.

we will awaken, as we cast aside the fear of flying!

Awaking from a dream and finding it untrue, did we not learn a thing from that? Yes, we learned a question, but reality as true is both in knowing WHAT the false was, which we do not, but only that it was false, according to HOW we knew it, and then knew it again as false. So what was it. We know 'appearance' and this is not knowing all appearance nor why or how.

Eternal non-being is the negation for its concept. Non-being is nothing and fear for it is foolish. I am foolish, never the less.

i do no longer think of so. in the event that they did, then my existence may be so unusual and random. in the event that they did, i may be waiting to fly. in the event that they did, then i may be taking an elevator to the 4th floor of a development with in basic terms a million floor. in the event that they did, then my canines might come back to existence. in the event that they did, i may be blowing extensive bubbles interior my mouth at the same time as floating weightless in a white area. even nevertheless those issues may be thrilling to journey, i think of it might thoroughly freak me out.
