Put all the rules of baseball together and you'll likely have the equivalent of a short story. But I'll try to help as much as I can.
An inning has a top half and a bottom half. The visiting team bats in the top half of the inning. Each team has three outs per half inning and there are nine innings in a game. If the game is tied after nine innings, the game goes to extra innings. The game will continue until one team finishes the game with the lead. If the home team is tied or trailing in the ninth inning or later, they will win the game by scoring the go-ahead run in that particular inning.
There are two leagues: American and National. In the National League (NL), the pitcher bats along with everyone else. In the American League (AL), a designated hitter (DH) hits in place of the pitcher, but in actuality, he can hit for any player in the lineup (the pitcher is usually the weakest hitter).
There are nine positions: pitcher (1), catcher (2), first base (3), second base (4), third base (5), shortstop (6), left field (7), center field (8), and right field (9). Each position is designated a number as seen in parentheses. These numbers are for the game's official scorer. For example, a groundout to second base would be ruled 4-3, because the second baseman fields the ball and throws to first base for the putout.
An official game is five innings long. If a rain delay stops the game anytime before the five innings are up, the game is not official. A pitcher can get a save if he meets any one of the following criteria: he pitches the final three innings of the game while protecting his team's lead; he holds at most a three-run lead in the eighth inning or later; he enters the game with the game-tying or winning run at-bat or on deck (the batter right after the current batter).
An illegal move by the pitcher is called a balk. Any runners on base are awarded the next base. If no runners are on base, the pitcher is charged a ball to the current batter.
A home run is when the batter hits the ball over the outfield wall in fair territory. A strike is when the pitch from the pitcher crosses an invisible box called the strike zone. The strike zone is the width of home plate and extends from the batter's knees to the letters on the uniform. The pitch is a strike if it crosses the plate inside the strike zone, regardless of where the catcher catches the pitch. A ball is any pitch that doesn't cross the plate in the strike zone. On four balls, the batter is issued a walk. On three strikes, either with the batter swinging and missing or looking at a strike, the batter is out. A full count is three balls and two strikes; unless the batter hits a foul ball, something must happen on the next pitch.

There are way too many rules to list here.
A home run means the batter hits the ball over the fence and gets to run in a counterclockwise direction around all four bases.
Each team gets chances to hit the ball until three players fail to get to the base, and so there are three "outs." One team plays until it makes three outs, and the other team plays until it makes three outs; that is one inning. There are 9 innings per game.

There are a lot of rules in baseball. They are different for softball.
The visitors bat first...each inning is comprised of a turn at batting for visitors and home team...each team bats till they make 3 outs, and when home team makes 3 outs that is the end of the first inning. In pro ball...there are 9 innings...it is different for children...they have a time limit....would take too long to say more...almost anyone could explain the basics to you.

It's simple, really. If you swing at the pitched ball and miss it, it's a strike. If you don't swing at the pitched ball ... uh, well, it could be a strike or not. It depends. If you begin to swing at the ball but stop yourself, it could be a strike but maybe not.
If you get 3 strikes, you're out! Except if you foul the ball off then it's not a strike - if you already have 2 strikes (both of which could be from hitting a ball foul). Of course, if you swing and miss with 2 strikes, you're out, except if the catcher drops the ball and you can run to the base before you're tagged out. Except, of course if there is already a runner on 1st base. Then you're just out.
I hope this clears things up for you ... Next we'll discuss "Who's on First".

Yeah.. uh.. that kind of question on here is kind of insane to ask. There are many many rules. And why would I want to waste my time explaining to you the rules when I could have many other things I could be doing(which I have none, or I wouldn't be here in the first place), I mean yeah, I could waste my time explaining to you to get 10 points. But seriously, anyone that would do that should get life.
Well I'm pretty much bagging on myself now. So I might wanna shut up before I lose ALL of my self-pride.

I think you mean home run. You get 3 strikes(a pitch between your knees and shoulders) and over the home plate to make a out or 4 balls(not in the zones above to get to go to first base free. 3 outs by both teams playing is a inning. If you get hit by a pitch you get first base free also.
