I've asked this three times with little to no response. I'm trying to plan myself a 21st birthday that has a circus theme. I wanted to do something other than the typical bar hopping for my 21st. I want it to have little kid elements with an adult twist (ex. pinata with little liquor bottle instead of candy). Nothing explicit just a lot of fun.

While I wouldn't reccommend ALL of the activities/decorations this person used for their circus themed murder mystery party(obviously)due to it being a 21st birthday - there are quite a few ideas in her party description to choose from.

I hope that helps a little. Be creative but don't go overboard.
Also, don't stop asking questions just because one isn't answered. *smiles*

1. Hire clowns, but make them creepy, scary clowns instead of funny clowns.

2. Ask all friends to dress as a circus animal or other part of the circus. (I'd be a tiger, with a spandex cat suit and a tail and fun makeup.)

3. Set up a circus tent in the backyard. Play carnival music.

4. Have the guests perform simple stunts, such as a somersault, a tightrope walk on a piece of tape, a headstand against the wall, an animal walk or a step through a Hula Hoop (if intoxicated, it's funnier!) Videotape the stunts and play back the video for the party guests.

5. Serve giant pretzels, peanuts, and clown cupcakes.

the pinata liqour bottle thing is good, just make sure you dont use glass liqour bottles. a trapeze would slay. and bartender dressed as a clown? have some animals dressed up in wierd outfits possibly doing tricks. I just turned 21 and it was super fun, but we didn't have a theme. it was badass though.
