There are these pills called PMS and they work wonders. Plus u can drink hot tea and get aheating pad and lay it flat on your stomach. The PMS pills will hopefully work . I know they work very very well when i take them i cant get enough of them i carry them every where with me i even got all my friends hooked on them because Motrin and other pills still leave me cramped up. But no these pills all my friends love them. They say there like angels when your friend comes to visit.

Unfortunately most over the counter pain meds can cause stomach bleeding or other digestive tract problems. If you have asthma, ibuprofen can aggravate it. If the cramps are really severe, it could be a sign there is something else wrong, so you should go to your doctor to see about having an ultrasound or other tests done to rule out problems. Fibroids are a benign tissue growth either embedded in the uterine walls or protruding into the uterus from the uterine lining and are hereditary. Polyps are growths that protrude into the uterus from the uterine lining. Both can cause uneven sloughing off of menstrual fluid and clots, and in the process of expelling it you can experience labor-like cramping which can be very severe. I had fibroids and the only relief for me was surgery (a modified hysterectemy). You can also experience excessive bleeding with these problems. There is also endometriosis...a condition where uterine lining tissue is found outside the uterus. The tissue causes internal bleeding and severe pain each month and can be dangerous. If your doctor rules out any problems, the cramps are likely caused by too much of certain hormones which can be controlled by hormone therapy. I have two nieces who have severe cramps and they both take hormones that virtually stop menstruation. It works and they are pain free. I would also recommend you see a female gynocologist because my experience is that male doctors aren't as responsive as female doctors to women's physical problems.

I used to take midol, but I'm on the pill now and don't get bad cramps. Um try a nice hot bath, it should help you relax as well. Maybe try advil as well.

As high of a dose of Motrin or Advil as you can safely take, every four hours. They contain a chemical that gets rid of the chemicals that cause cramps.

hot baths. Or a heating pad, but if you are like me and don't have a heating pad lying around the house I take a self warming facial mask and put it where the pain is
