My friend is really over weight. I don't want to be rude or anything like say to her face, "Go on a diet", or "dude stop eating." I don't want to be rude. She said she'll die if she eats too much sugar. But she eats it anyway. She wieghs more than my dad. My dad wieghs about 230 pounds. What should I do?

This depends on if you really care about her health or is she embarrassing you?

If you truly care about her, then tell her you want her to be healthy and offer exercise with her. Even as simple as walking is good for almost anyone. And say when y'all go out to eat, tell her you could both eat healthier instead of fast food all the time. That you are very care for her and don't won't her to die from sugar when you could help her prevent it.

But from the first half of your question, it sounds more like you either think it is easy to lose weight or are embarrassed to be with her. Ask your parents how many diets they have tried and what has and hasn't worked. It isn't easy to change a lifestyleor overeating. And it doesn't help if your friends are yelling at you to "stop eating" instead of working with you and dieting & exercising together.

I think if she hasn't actually come to you for help then it's none of your business. But if she's talked about losing weight and doesn't know how, offer a little advice. Some people would rather work out and eat smaller portions of the same food, while some people strictly cut out certian foods. Just make sure she's eating healthy when/if she asks for your advice.

The only reason she could die if she eats to much sugar is most likely cause she is a diabetic!! If she is worried about her weight and her health then she will do something about it, i realize its hard for someone who is over weight to lose weight or resist the temptation that food brings.... i have delt with it before!!! But she will only lose weight IF SHE wants to. Offer her friendly suggestions to help, etc... but if she doesn't want the help i suggest leaving her be... Good luck!!

Tell her that you want to start eating healthy and excersing. Ask her if she will help and go on a walk with you, go bike riding with you, and ask her to help you eat better by her eating better when you are around each other. Make her think it is for support. Someone that opver weight has to start our slowly and build the strength to become a daily excersier. Once she starts to see results, she may keep up with it

Even though she is your friend and all i think you should allow her to eat what she wants. If you want to help her tell her you think she is eating way much than she can manage never ever mention to her that she is fat she will freak if you tel her that. She might even go on a starvation diet and may have to end up in the hospital struggling for life.

That is a really sensitive area. But for one, you don't need to say hey you're fat, go on a 5k run! Express your concern for her HEALTH, don't make it about the weight... Agree to exercise with her. Go on a walk and invite her along!! It helps when you have someone to partner up with. Be her support system more than anything and accept her for whatever her decision is...

Sit down with her tell her she is a really good friend that you want around a long time to come, then just say that you will help her with a diet. and stress to her how upset you are and that you care enough to say some thing. Good Luck

No matter what you need to tell her hurting her feelings is better than her ending up dead. If y'all are true friends she would want you to tell her. She will forgive you. Sometimes it takes a friend to tell you for you to want to change help her. Do things with her that will help her lose the weight. In the long run she will appreciate you for telling her and helping.

Sensitive subject. If she is confiding in you and asking for your help, you could do an eat healthy and beginner excercise challenge together. If she doesn't want to participate though, there is nothing that you can do besides just be her friend, be there for her and try to support her healthy choices.

Ask her if she would like to go riding bikes with you or you could ask her to go for a walk with you. Find things outdoors that she and you can do that involves her moving around. You don't have to be rude to her but you can find creative ways to help her exercise
