Help I am 25 years old and I have been skipping periods often but the pregancy tests negative. I have also had sudden onsets of severe pain in my lower abdomen a couple times in the last six months. I went to Urgent Care when I could bare the pain no more, but the blood test are negative. Also in the past month I have felt nauses on multiple occasions. Any ideas?

Problems with the organs in the abdominal region i.e. the digestive system, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, appendix and kidney could be the main reasons for a bad stomach ache. Gastroenteritis can give you a severe stomach ache, while stomach pain from cancer may only be mild. I found a lot of great information on causes of stomach pain and its treatment at http://tinyurl.com/l9k9x

Issues with one's ovaries can cause sharp pain on either side of one's lower abdomen, nausea, and an absence of one's period, along with a number of other possible symptoms. It can be confirmed via a pelvic ultrasound. Good luck.

Do you use tampons? If you have a tipped uterus, you might have symptoms like the ones you describe. Tampons can aggravate the situation AND the pain can be unbearable. I have to honestly tell you, that you really need to see your gynecologist for a diagnosis and a treatment plan. You are young and shouldn't have to be in this kind of pain...go to the Doctor! Good luck and God bless!

It may be menstrual cramping. I remember a few years ago, when I was about your age, I used to get these horrific cramps that would bring me to my knees. This would happen right before, and during my menstrual cycle. Luckily, I don't get these kind of cramps anymore. They just stopped.

You should take Midol everyday, during your menstrual cycle, and even a couple of days before you start. This should help ease the cramping.
