There's someone for everyone! Personally I don't think my husband would like me to be submissive all the time, he wants to be with me as I am (thank god!) and when I 'get a little attitude' he talks to me to find out what's wrong so we can both feel better.
I am a stay-at-home wife with no children, I do his cooking, cleaning and laundry (amongst other things), but this way of life suits both of us and I know he'd support me in any other direction I wanted to go.
I do nag sometimes when he won't listen, but he does too. I'll question him when I feel I need to and vice versa, we're relatively equal and that's the way we like it.
I'm afraid I'd be no good as a submissive wife but it doesn't mean that it doesn't work for you. Just don't forget what women through the ages have been through to get to the freedom we have today, it's fine to be submissive, but it's also fine to be driven, sexually equal, and opinionated (to a point), etc too.
Did you ever watch 'Coming to America' with Eddie Murphy?
You're your own woman and you know what's best for you, just don't expect many women of the day to agree with you!

There is nothing wrong with being nice, getting things, smiling, and being giving to your partner. And showing he cares is good. I would argue however that a chastity belt is dangerous to your health. Is that caring? Spanking is not appropriate: good marriages nobody hits. Nobody.
You don't have hormone issues you have suppressed and legitimate feelings. Listen to that inner voice when you are upset. You may be wrong but it needs to be considered. You don't have "an attitute" you have legit anger at how youare being treated and don't deserve to be hit.
I DO NOT think MOST men prefer someone who is submissive in every way. They like women they can respect.Women who NICELY give their opinion, be respectful, discuss (and I think most women prefer men who respect them. If anyone male or female gives in all the time, doesn't give opinion, they start being seen as a doormat and lose respect of those around them.
Some men want that in a wife but they are usually very insecure, untrusting, often are cheating on that wife, and disrespectful or something..
No one with good posts to your other questions have been trying to be mean. They have been WORRIED and CARE about you.
I question whether your husband cares for YOU or just you role in his life.
What if your best friend were treated this way?
What if a man was treated how you are?
One can be equal, respectful, have feelings and disagree and still love deeply, reciprocate giving acts, one person does one thing and decides in it other things the partner does. Its a matter of how one disagrees and shares.
--What would happen if he started hitting harder?
--What if he hit any children in a not appropriate way?
--Does he do things to endanger your health (chastity belt during period is unhealthy---you can get a bad infection and DIE)
--If he died tomorrow would you know about the finances or does he keep things secret? What if he has debts or hasn't paid bills and is hiding it from you?
--Are you prevented from having friends or seeing friends?
--Does he get over jealous?
--Does he see other women when you are menstruating?
--Does he control what you do, who you see, what you wear (beyond just trying to dress to please, but actually controls it)?
--Is sex fun for YOU? Does he try to please you? Does he get dangerous in his sexual practices?
--Does he threaten you or imply threats?

i won't leave you a nasty comment sweetie. However most women wouldn't put up with that kind of crap. But some cultures good example the middle east Like there women to be submissive and not talk back to the man. and they like to be in power but its normally in an unhealthy way. Women tend to take a back seat in life.
So this is why many women can't fathom living this kind of life style we all want love and respect its a two way street. and no not many men like a door matt. I think most men would like a woman with a little get up and go in her so she can stand her ground. Most men don't want a slave as a wife.
But there are some men that like a woman to be submissive I guess.
however don't get this mixed up with some men putting down there foot on things all me do that thats not being like your husband he's way over board.
All men want to be respected of course but they also will let a woman have her opinion. and if things aren't going to work themselves out yes sometimes a man will make it known he wants it a certain way. but most couples work this out. the man doesn't treat her like he owns a peace of cattle. most men are smart enough to realize they won't get far that way.
I hope this helps you.
Now if you come from a particular country where you have been brought up this way. I'm warning you now if you go back to your husband with these things you have heard from other women he will demand where you heard this from. then make sure that you are not allowed to come back on to the computer. as this will mess up what he has planned and how he wants you to be at home. So be delicate in handling him and this situation.
For these kinds of men the less you know about how others live the better they like to keep you in the dark. My ex was that way. He liked me innocent and niave and if you ask to many questions and figure things out they dont' like that.
Good luck sweetie

Your husband makes you sound like you are a little kid by calling you a good little girl.I am not trying to insult you in any way,but if my husband called me a good little girl I would be pissed.I am a woman, and all woman not a little girl. What does a little girl have to offer a man. They have nothing,on the other hand a woman has many things to offer a man.I am a very self sufficent woman that does not need a man, although I enjoy having one..I hope you get a back bone before he steps all over you.

What you do, isn't being submissive. It's letting him control you completely. You don't have a mind of your own. You're a complete pushover. You're sort of living in a messed up version of a domestic disipline relatinoship. There really isn't anything wrong with being in that sort of realtionship as long as you both agree with it. Yours, is a little too extreme, abusive, and controlling. And no, I'm not saying all domestic discipline relationships are abusive, but your husband is a control freak and you don't seem happy. You seem manipulated. Get the hell out of that relationship before it turns worse. He should not be telling you that you're a bad wife because you didn't pour his freaking coffee because you were taking care of his fricken kid.

I agree with JD to most extents, but happiness is optional, and you reep what you sow, as long as it is a two way street. Very uncommon to find I might add, if it doesn't come with a hidden agenda. The way I veiw it, it is pretty simple. Oooooowah baby you're the best or Oooooowah baby I'm packing my stuff. But I have been called a sadistic prick before.

The reality is that your marriage will have a better chance of surviving than most because of your submissive tendency. Your submissiveness will result in less conflict and smoother decision making for you as a couple. However, you give up a lot in that you won't have a lot of control over things. If you are happy giving your husband almost all of the control, then I say go for it. Just remember that you're giving up a lot of your individuality.

I like a girl with the self confidence to just come up to me and start talking. Most of all, I like a girl who knows what she wants and how to get it. You girls have these special little ways of letting us guys know you are interested without necessarily coming on like a cheap whore. Things like moving in close enough to let us smell your perfume, flashing a bright smile, a quick glancing bit of eye contact, a gentle touch of the hand (especially on my bicep, chest or abs) is sending all the right signals to a guy while still maintaining your lady like dignity. But the bottom line is, a girl that has the confidence to know what she likes and how to get it can be especially alluring!!!
But with that said, a totally submissive girl is not a turn on. Relationships are supposed to be 50/50. I prefer to be with a girl who I can respect than someone who is going to give in to my every demand. But that's just me....

I like women who are sexually submissive and enjoy being spanked - but outside the bedroom I like a woman to have a mind of her own. The kind of total docility you describe wouldn't appeal to me at all - I'd find it very boring. But if you're genuinely happy to submit yourself to your husband in every way, and if it works for both of you, then good luck with it!

I mostly prefer my women to ask much shorter questions.
But you are a funny little gal, so I read the whole thing through. You can take that as a compliment.
