Hm. Ima go with Sabbath, only cuz they're pretty much the godfathers of metal. How can you go wrong with timeless hits like War Pigs, Iron Man, NIB, Sweet Leaf etc etc. But I'm personally only a fan of the Ozzy years. However, Iron Maiden definitely deserves some respect too; where would they be without Dickinson's one-of-a-kind vocals? The only thing that I find somewhat annoying about Maiden is the repetitiveness of the songs. Overall, pretty damn good bands but I prefer Sabbath by a bit.

Damn dude... I'd have to say Sabbath. I love Iron Maiden, but there are more Black Sabbath songs that speak to me. And the mood of the band also fits my personality really well.

Black Sabbath because, they were the original Heavy Metal band. everything since is just rehashed, no shock value. Metal has been around so long now that, even parents know whats coming because, most of them grew up with it.

YOU ARE A BASTARD OF AN INSTIGATOR! I can't WAIT to read these answers! Thanks for filling my drunken night! Anyway, I'm gonna have to vote for Iron Maiden because they're the only ones that can perform their songs to 100% potential live these days. Both of them are great, and of course worthy of the Rock n' Roll hall of fame, but Ozzy just doesn't have it live anymore - he's too "gone"....
