Yes, but how many so called third world countries will cease to exist because of it? How many countries will go bankrupt as we collect the debts they owe? Are you suggesting the USA should not have interfered with Hitler's attempt at conquest?
I guess the real question is why should the USA mind its own business?
Considering what happens when you stick your head in the sand and pretend nothing is going on around you, seems foolish to ignore the rest of the world. USA struggled with that philosophy for years and received some criticism for not engaging in WWII sooner. This situation presently is almost opposite: the USA IS involved and many other countries are ignoring the situation. Ironic: how quickly we forget.

Not when the whole system is based on exploiting others resources, international trading and making profits. The last time America tried that Japan declared war, blew up half your Navy and forced you into WW2, which was lucky for Hollywood and revisionists.
It would have been best to have stayed out of the Middle East though.

initially quit asking questions and then providing lengthy solutions in simple terms to spout off. 2d of all, I accept as true with Ron Paul that we could continually get the f out of the international's organisation and take care of ourselves and decriminalize drugs. even with the indisputable fact that, I do believe that if there is tyranny and genocide, we could continually paintings with different international locations militarily to seek them f ers and kill em and lead them to cover in little holes and then yank them out and shoot em in the right. we've a responsibility as people to guard one yet another, yet definite, our militia is way too large, a similar length because the subsequent 14 militaries, so we could continually use alliances extra to assist the international.

Well, if you can't mind your own business, just as everyone on here can't mind their own business because it is a QUESTION SITE, then why are you asking the blunt obvious? Nobody will ever mind their own business.

Good theory but this hasn't occurred since the end of WW2.
You are referring back to our older days of 'speak softly but carry a big stick.'
Also, I would like to clarify that when you say 'mind your own business' this does NOT mean being isolationists. There is a huge difference between being an isolationist and being an imperialist.
Isolationists doesn't try to influence any other nation and lives by the rule of being self-sufficient.
Imperialists try to influence the rest of the world and gain profit by the affects.
I am all for a happy medium between the two just as I mentioned first off, 'speak softly but carry a big stick.'

no we make too much money elsewhere and corporate interests drive the choices of who we help and who we hurt.
also we make deals with Mexico and Canada based on friendly borders and other countries based on if military bases allowed..
if you look at who our govt helps you will see corporate or military presence.
we need to concentrate on infrastructure mass transport and social issues and not corporate greed but see some of my other comments..
Dem's tend to get in our business at a cost taxes and Republicans tends to get into others for corporate profit.believing it trickles down to the masses.

If we did then certain people would just whine and complain about us being selfish and not helping others. Would you guys make up your minds what you want? It happens to be very confusing, not to mention annoying.

no b/c of global interdpendence...all the countries are linked in some way. the US is just trying to help, but also seems to only help in situations where they will benefit the most...thats human nature, though. how many people would actually help someone if there was nothing in it for them? (i'm not talking about helping ur friends or family, i'm talking about complete strangers)

Thinking that way is for terrorists? What's next? If you play soccer instead of football you're a terrorist?
