i think, if i did it correctly the answer is -8
z/4=-8-(-6) first you change the -6 into a positive as well as the minus sign

z/4=-8+6
then you add or in this case subtract -8 and 6= -2

z/4=-2
then you times 4 to each side

z/4(4)=-2(4)
so you cross out 4(4) and times -2x4=-8
and you get z=-8

z = 4(-2)

simplify the right side: z/4=-8+6
z/4=-2
multiply both sides by 4 z=-8
