Ann Arbor is 157 miles from Berrien Springs. And, with a population of 113,271, is certainly isn't rural.

Berrien Springs itself, or Oronoko Township (where Andrews University is actually located) are good places to live. They are small and rural.

Nearby Niles, Dowagiac, St. Joseph, and Stevensville are also good places to live.

Ann Arbor is a LONG way away from Berrien Springs...the closest major city would be Chicago, Illinois. But Grand Rapids isn't too far away, which is more rural, and then you have the smaller cities around Berrien Springs like Dowagiac and Niles which can be very rural. It all depends on what your definition of "best city" is!

I went to college in Ann Arbor (Univ. of Michigan). There are a TON of things to do there. You will love it.
