I do not know if there is a rule here or not, but I would certainly look at this as any type of service and would tip the person or persons who are doing the job. You may want to check with the company to see what their regulations are, some companies do not allow their employees to accept tips. Fifteen percent would be an acceptable amount to tip in this situation, and if they do an exceptional job; twenty percent would be appreciated. Have a good night!

Tipping may or may nort be expected. he performed a service for you at an agreed price before he worked on your car. If he does one hell of a job and spends a lot of time detailing, and offers to pick you up or drive the car back to you, then yes a tip would be a good idea. But if the car really looks not much better than when you gave it to him, pay your dues, leave no tip and never go back. But these guys live on referrels and i believe he will do an excellent job for you.
good luck

If they do an exceptional job, you might want to consider a tip, especially if you want them to do it again later. As to how much, that's up to you, but 10 per cent seems about right.
