If an ex-offender moved in next door to you what would you need to feel comfortable living in that proximity to someone who had been convicted of a serious crime, but not a sex offender??

To get to know them. If they've truly rehabilitated themself and want to be a good neighbor, I'd have no problem with them. Would help if they were up front about it.

My husband is an ex-con so it wouldn't bother me in the least, that is so long as it wasn't a violent crime. If a rapist, child molestor, or cold blooded murderer moved in next door I don't think I would ever feel comfortable. Any other crime wouldn't bother me though. I believe that every one (other than violent offenders) have the ability to change and should be given a second chance.

It depends. What crime did that person commit? If someone has committed a brutal murder or rape with their hands, then NO, I would not want them to be around me. If the ex-inmate killed somebody out of self-preservation and they were in immediate life-threatening danger, then that is different. A revenge kill or a planned kill is not excusable. If the ex-con was an accomplice who didn't actually murder someone, I could be comfortable with them around. It also depends on the PERSONALITY of that individual, as well as if they are staying out of trouble and following the parole rules. It's not solely the crime. I say NO to sociopaths, though.

This man or woman (regardless if he carried out his time) isn't an excellent function variety on your toddlers. would u enable a pitbull close on your toddlers? Bc if u do they'd be cuddly before each little thing yet its a probability u take that possibly this isnt some thing they shouldnt be round. Get the purpose? i recognize u do bc why else would u be asking this question? he's of direction manipulating her. IMO i imagine he only set u up. what i recommend by skill of it really is he's the single asking for to work out your toddlers. This makes him look better suited to her and makes u look like the undesirable guy for no longer allowing it. And your no longer! As a father u have the posh of conserving u dont opt for your toddlers to be round someone no matter if u dont like the colour of their tie in my view.

It would depend on what the crime had been .. and exactly what he / she did. I could be comfortable .. but it would depend on a lot of factors. Good Luck! :)

If the person was in for burglary, I would be a little cautious. How I'd feel really depends on what he/she was in for.
