7x = 16x - 8
16x - 7x = 8
9x = 8
x = 8/9

Sabrina, this is a very fundamental equation.
I will not do it for you, but I will help you with it.
Do you remember the equation rules? Add, subtract, multiply, divide. everything inside the () first, then work outside.
Simply pick a number and insert it where the "x" is.
Then follow through the aforementioned pattern. It took me about 1 minute doing it the long way, showing every step of my work, to get the answer. And believe me, I am no math genius.
Holler if you need more tutoring.
Thanks,
Quail

first multiply each and each aspect by skill of x 4=(9/5)x - 7x^2 - (4/5)x^2 then combine like words 4 = (9/5)x - (7.8)x^2 0 = (-7.8)x^2 + (9/5)x -4 as we can see its a quadratic equation from right here both use a graphing calculator or use the quadratic formulation. [-b + sqrt(b^2 - 4ac)]/2a and [-b - sqrt(b^2 - 4ac)]/2a those provides you with both solutions by skill of searching at it i will see its going to be a complicated volume good success

I give you two examples to help you to solve this kind of
equations.

1) ax + b = c ( a,b,c are numbers and x is a
variable.)

ax + b -b = c -b (subtract ''-b'' both sides
of the equation)

ax + (b -b) = c - b

ax + 0 = c - b

ax = c- b

a (1/a)x = (c-b)/a

(a/a)x = (c-b)/a

(1)x = (c-b)/a

x = (c- b)/a

2) 3n + 5 = -8n -2

3n +5 -5 = -8n -2 -5

3n + 0 = -8n -7

3n + 8n = -8n + 8n -7

11n = 0 - 7

11n = -7

11(1/11)n = -7 (1/11)

1n = -7/11

n = -7/11

7x = 2(8x-4)
7x = 18x -8
7x - 16x = -8
9x = -8
x = -8 / -9
x = 0.89 ( apprx fm 0.8888888)
