speaking biologically, the 5 sources of energy are :
Inorganic molecules
a) could produce energy anaerobically
Organic molecules
which produces energy through fermentation, photosythesis, and respiration.
Then think about the sun, wind, coal, therma dynamics of the early volcanoes and the ocean currents as well as the gravitational pull of the earth as sources of energy.

It depends on what you're talking about. If it's basic sciences it's probably wind, sun light (or solar), hydroelectric (using gravity), nuclear (or atomic), fossil fuels (coal and oil). Things beyond this have bigger more impressive sounding names, but most of it comes back to those.
