1990 Cadillac 5.7L, I have a trouble code 42.?

Trouble code 42....what are the causes and how can I correct them? Thanks for your help.

EST circuit is open, Electronic Spark Timing. You can confirm this at any Auto Zone for free. They will also recomend a repair for you.
