Should the occasion present itself and provided you use a condom and respect your partner, I don't think it is a bad thing. However, I can tell you that I regret no waiting until 19-20 myself..for what it's worth...
PS: 17 ok, 16..too young.

It MIGHT be, but there's no age to start having sex. I'd wait until you're out of school to start having sex. You could end up getting a woman pregnant, and they couldn't go to school or go to work.

Yes it is wayyy too early. Don't give yourself away until you are into your twenties. Sex is completely overrated, and you will only regret it. So what if everyone else is doing it...let them risk their health, future, and reputation.
