Any participation as a leader or team member is very helpful with college applications. Schools now seem to be looking for diversity, so mix it up. Sing, dance, speak, hit a ball, write poetry. My daughter was accepted to all 9 universities she applied to and chose Yale.

Any record of leadership roles or of active membership in creative groups goes to strengthen your case for Admission in a University or College. Put it in proper perspective... Mention any event or achievement which had a significant contribution from you. Resolution of conflicts, creation of Synergy through innovative combination of the Groups, etc are some examples.
