If you are overall healthy then take the next step and switch from sodas (pop) to a more healthy drink. Check out the local nutrition center for the right kind for you. Sounds like you need to cut sugar a bit but also overall body fat percentage is important. Looks should not matter that that much if you already have a flat stomach then great. Let me have some. LOL! I did body building in the years BWK. Now I need to get back into a program but always check with your primary care doc first. But sounds like a tweak on the body fat, reduction, and some more concentration on abdominal workouts within in your normal exercise plan if you follow one.
If you eliminate the sodas and do a bit more leg lifts, sit-ups, inclined sit-ups and if your READY hold a 5 or 10 pound weight on your chest lay or sit on a weight bench and do sit ups without your back touching the bench. IE. When sitting sit near the edge so you hang over the end of the bench when laying back to do sit ups. ALWAYS use a spotter and don't forget to check with the doc before doing anything different or more extensive then you are used to. Always start slow and keep track of what you do so you can chart a graph of improvement and have a goal set to keep your motivation.
PS. Don't matter how you ask you can see some of the answers your bound to get. Are they getting points for them?
Good luck. Time for my extra cheese pizza and double chocolate cake. Oh yea, in the years BWK is "In the years BEFORE WIFE AND KIDS" LOL!

Soda is not good for anyone who is trying to shed pounds. It is chocked for of corn syrup (basically pure sugar) and the carbonated water in soda can make your muscles cramp up when you are exercising. If you are talking about club soda, well, that's a different story since it has no sugar, but it will still make your muscles cramp up. Stick to lots and lots of water. Add some lemon, lime, strawberry, or pomegranate concentrate to the water for flavor.

The sugar will make you flabby, stop drinking soda and eating everything that has artificial sugar, such as frosted flakes, syrup, candy bars, and sodas ! Fruit is okay, but don't eat it in large quantities, there is enough glucose in them to have the same effect. Then do your sit ups.

pop is the worst thing,,, its loaded w/ sugar thats hard to digest or burn off,, the average can of soda (pop) contains 25 grams of sugar,,, also the carbonation causes gastric problems,, drink fruit juice,, all natural,, not concentrate,,, also eat fresh fruits,, and vegetables,, if you want the proper sugars,,,,
dont do sit ups its bad for your back,,, do crunches for your upper abs and leg lifts for your lower abs,,, and oblique twists for your obliques( love handle areas) ,, for a full ab work out all at once,, do a crunch leg combo,, do a standard crunch,, and at the same time bring your knees to your chest ,, you wouldnt believe the results,,and also keep your arms straight down at your sides,,

LOL its not the sugar in the pop,its all the other stuff they put into it. They got phosphorus, a type of acid and a caffeine in it. Light color pops are not as bad as dark cus of citrus instead of the stronger stuff.
