Yes, she was holding a big butcher knife over her head and about to plunge it down into my chest. She had spent the last 10 minutes throwing glasses, bottles, dishes, etc at me. She had frequently thrown dangerous objects at me in the past. I had already stepped on several peices of broken glass and my feet were bleeding. I was asking her to stop and put the knife down but she only breathed very hard and said nothing with a blank stare on her face. I hit her once in the arm she had raised with the knife. Her arm went down and she stopped breathing heavy for a second. Then she brought the knife back over her head and started breathing really heavy with a blank stare again. I hit her in the arm again and she dropped the knife. She looked around and asked me if she had made all that mess.
Her father was a diagnosed schitzophrenic on lithium for years. She exhibited the same symptoms but everytime I mentioned it to her she blew up and screamed that she didn't have that problem. The reason she almost killed me, by the way, was because I was trying to wash some ink off a Timex watch she gave me and she said that water would wreck it and I should know that you use hairspray to clean ink off a watch and what I was really doing was rejecting her. I told her to go sit down while I cleaned up the whole mess. She had to ask me over and over what had happened because she kept forgetting. In less than a week she had no memory of the event.
Her friends and family noticed the 2 small bruises on her arm where I hit her and she could only remember that I hit her, not that she tried to kill me. The bruises were very small and of course I had not hit her other than that, but all her friends and family would not speak to me or allow me to come over, etc. She was very beautiful, a model... Everyone only saw a poor abused beauty and an abusive b.f.
I did the right thing. I moved out of the apartment we shared. When I did, she really did not remember the event or why I was leaving. But she would have gotten off on the insanity defense and I would be long gone if I had not defended myself. No one knows this for sure because I was the only person there. She was not there. She was unresponsive at the time and blocked the memory out.
Lesson Learned: No psycho Barbies... I'll take cute and really nice over great looking and crazy any day.

I was very tempted. She wouldn't look at me, talk to me, she just kep walking with me. She didn't even hold hands, but didn't do anything when I held hers or even answer when I asked what was wrong. Even now I don't know what she was doing,it was just a random depression or something..

I did once, this year actually. All I was thinking is that he'd gotten me so angry, had taken a joke way too far and then not said he was sorry for what he did.
