switching to reg milk can do that ,try giving him more water, some prune juice (a 1/4 cup mixed with water) anything that will soften his poop. If he continues to poop pebbles take him to the doc. Some kids get scared to poop because it hurts and they may hold it in causing more probs.

U have just started him on cows milk... his body is trying to adjust to digesting of the lactose. U can now start replacing some of the milk bottles with boiled water or juice to help soften the poo poos. If it continues take the little man of to the docs or mention it to his maternal health care nurse and she will be able to offer you some advice as well.
Good Luck

Go back to half formula half milk until he gets used to that. Then switch him to milk 2 percent worked best for my kids. Also, try putting some Karo syrup in his milk, it will taste better but also help him go.

I had this problem with my daughter, and the Dr told me to give her prune juice, apple juice, and stuff like that. It helps soften it up and makes it easier to go. Good luck, and hope you get some help, I know how hard it is to watch them when they are in pain like that.

from experience. he'll love it go to the grocery store and purchase Gerber baby vegetables. feed him to his hearts desire. yes if your son has just started talking reg milk, its going to take a while for his body to adjust to the change. meanwhile we don't want him to have a hard poop. trust me went through this four times four children GOOD LUCK!!!

he isn't digesting the milk... you should put him on 1% or buy "Good Start" it is for switching your child from formula to milk.... but take him off milk for now.
