Get a couple teen magazines for her and look through them together. Find out how she wants to do her makeup and what look she likes. If it one you approve of then have her practice copying the look and see how you both like it.
If it is one you don't agree with ,say because it is too heavy or just too old for her, keep looking. Together you can find a good look for her and copy the style. Until a girl is comfortable doing her makeup, imitating a look from a magazine by trying it out is probably the best way to learn.
My daughter is 12 and wears lipgloss and mascara and a light, glittery shadow on her eyelids. It looks young and fresh and just accents her pretty face, not covering up anything!

I would agree that 12 is too young for makeup, but... lipgloss is acceptable. Mascara will make her think shes doing something different. Eyeshadow is def. too much for a 12 year old.
She probably just wants to pretty up, like play with her look, encourage her to try new hairstyles, barettes, nail polishes, and things like that. Unless there is an older woman in her life encouraging the glam look, a 12 year old should not be concerned with wearing makeup & if she is, there may be some self esteem issues... does she think she needs it?
If i were you, Id try to focus my daughter more on important things in life for now. Think about what messages shes getting and from what influences... Is Paris Hilton her idol? And I shouldnt have to mention that make-up will attract older men to your 12 yr old daughter, Is that really what you want to condone? Make up will still be there when she is 16.

At twelve, honestly.. .maybe some flavored lip gloss. Unless you want her to be dating, she probably shouldn't be wearing makeup. Makeup is to make women (girls in this case) look more attractive to the opposite sex. How concerned with that do you really want her to be at 12? I had to wait till I was 13 to wear blush (and I am only 29 now, so it's not like I grew up 50 years ago) Let her have something to look forward to.

For girls that are 12... they pretty much only need some eyework (shadow and mascara, maybe liner) and some lip gloss. Too much lipstick or matte colors tends to give too adult a look. Plus, a lot of foundation and other products that adults use might make the skin look plastic. Going towards natural is probably better in this case.

I started wearing make-up at her age. I just wore a little bit of concealer to cover any occasional zits and a bit of mascara and light-colored eye shadow. Let her decide what's too much (for instance, I decided that for me when I was 12 mascara on both the top and bottom was too much, so I just did top lashes) but make sure she doesn't go over-board and keep it simple. Good luck! Always help her remember she's beautiful without it!

Obviously nothing too drastic. A little mascara, maybe some glittery eyeshadow. And of course, some cool flavored lip gloss :D The life of a 12-year-old girl isn't complete without some cool lip gloss.

I think tweens are too young to wear make-up. Just get some nice lip gloss mostly light colors and translucent. Get flavored lip balms. Her face should be changing now and prone to blemishes and pimples. Why clog the skin up with added in make-up. Good luck.

Ok the best thing is to try just a little at a time. u dont want to go over board and go all crazy. First, start with a little eyeshadow, if u dont know how to apply it right go to your hairdresser, they can usually help with that stuff. Then after she gets bored with that and wants more add a little foundation. make sure she knows how to use it though. oh and check her every day before she leaves the house just to make sure she doesnt look bad (not saying she would)

there are extremely some tutorials on youtube that would help you with makeup seems. i will start up of by skill of conserving that you could't prefer to placed on makeup at your age. yet because you'll dismiss that, i will only proceed. distinctly and organic will be, by skill of definition, your organic face devoid of makeup on it. in spite of the indisputable fact that, hazel eyes have a form of colorings that flatter them, it only relies upon on your pores and skin tone. effortless brown eye shadows might want to artwork for hassle-free pores and skin, and tricks of bronze or gold that flatter the yellow tones on your hair. As for eyeliner, it relies upon on your selection of liquid or pencil. i in my view choose liquid only because it has a nicer end. besides the actual shown reality that, in case you do use eyeliner, do not placed it on your waterline. it truly is the portion of your eye only above your bottom eyelash. it really is an exceedingly racoon-ish look, and if you're going for 'organic' i does no longer worry. although, putting on eyeliner can't be defined ok. each little thing that contains makeup takes prepare on your section. Mascara is effortless, you may want to probable watch a commercial and get it proper. i'd recommend as to no longer utilizing a starting place, or a minimum of searching into some thing that does no longer cake into your pores and skin, using the indisputable fact which will only dry it out better. proper once you get out of the bathe, placed lotion and/or living house&well being coconut and almond body oil onto your face. Rub it in good. it does no longer harm to apply it everywhere, both. in case you do this each morning proper once you bathe, your pores and skin could start up to get a lot less dry.
