The Georgia State DMV website does not directly address your question. But you can contact them:

How do I get my license reinstated

You may contact the Department Of Driver Services 678-413-8400, or toll-free 866-754-3687 if calling from outside metro-Atlanta. Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 4:15 pm to assist with reinstatement questions.

If Georgia law says you must be in school then you will have to show that you are in school. Does GED even qualify..or are you trying to pull something over on them? Just do what is right, get in school and do it. Make a call to DMV or the school to ask that question. The best thing would be to just go to school or do the GED for real.
