The Disney Phones look pretty good and not like cheesey toys (to me at least).

Does anyone have any experience with the new Disney Phones and Disney wireless? I love the features they offer with their phones/plans. However, I would hate to get stuck under a contract where coverage is bad. How big is the Disney Mobile network? My children travel and I want them to have coverage in major cities. Are there any other providers that allow you to set allowances and restrict call call times?

My 15 year old needs to have her phone controlled. She goes over minutes and uses the phone late at night and at school. I have not been able to find another cellular service who will allow up to monitor her minutes used. (some allow GPS monitoring, but I am more concerned about cost control and setting limits for minutes, text pages, web times, pics sent, etc.)

Thanks for the help.

We have cingular. They have told me repeatedly that we cannot limit minutes. We are on the largest plan they offer (the only help they could offer). The last cingular rep told me every parent of a teenager wants this feature, but it's not available. Please tell me how to set Cingular limits!!!

THANKS!!!!

Yosi, I am not trying to monitor everything she does. I am trying to keep her cell phone bill less than my car payment. It's not about me trusting her, it's about being able to afford 8,000+ minutes per month. She obviously is not mature enough to control her own cell phone usage, so it's either find a plan that limit her use or take the phone away all together. It sounds like you are not an adult and are not familiar with paying bills.

WE HAVE T-MOBILE AND THEY RESTRICT MINUTES IF THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT. MAYBE YOUR 15YO NEEDS TO LOSE HER PHONE FOR A WHILE OR HAND IT TO YOU WHEN SHE COMES INTO THE HOUSE SO SHE WON'T USE IT WHEN SHE ISN'T SUPPOSED TO.

It think that the phones look fine. But I think you should look into the topic more, becuase I bet that if your daughter is 15 she won't want a phone that says disney on it. Try reaserching more about different phone services that offer that same deal. I think that you should just talk to your daughter about these things, and at the end of everyday check on her phone to see what she has done on it.

I looked into the Disney phones and thought they were ideal for kids. However, they do not fit into our budget, and it would more of a luxury than a necessity for our kids. But if the price is right for you, and your kids travel, it's worth further investigation. BTW, I looked at the phones and they don't scream "baby" like a lot of people think a Disney phone would look.

I would never carry a phone that said Disney on it. Those phones are for little kids, like you see on the commercials.

You shouldn't monitor everything she does, in 3 years she'll leave if she feels like you don't trust her.
