We also had what we thought were fruit flies, cleaned everything, counters, range, etc. Found out there were called drain flies. I guess they have a few different names, but anyway they can be found in the drains of your home. We poured about a pint of bleach down each drain, just before going to bed, and after a few days, they were gone. Please click this website, for more information.>>

When you clean you may have over looked somewhere. Those fruit flies don't come out of nowhere. Check behind stove, inside stove range, oven, refrigerator, anywhere where you may keep any kind of foods like a pantry etc. Double check that any food kept there is not ruined. Make sure that there are no empty beer or soda bottles around and that when you done with them they are rinsed before putting in putting in the garbage. If you have any ripe fruit put it inside the fridge, check for areas where water can accumulate and attract those little pain is the *sses. Another thing that may be the cause of the problem is your perfume or someone else's perfume or the carbon dioxide you exhale especially when you've had alcoholic beverages. If not you may need to exterminate. Good luck!

Fruit Flies breed really fast, so it al depends on how they got in your house in the first place , maybe you lefted the door open and two got in , it happens. The only thing that you can do is spray them with raid and clean up the mess afterwards, and then check the bathroom and the kitchen really good.Be sure to look for rotting fruits and vegetables, meat and even gravy. Make a bad habit of always throwing out garbage, i mean two to three time a day so just in case there might be more , if they cant eat, then they will die fast.

Fruit flies are a real nuisance, but we found a good way of getting rid of them. Put about a 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar in a small bowl and 2 drops of liquid dish soap. Mix and let sit. The apple cider vinegar seems to attract them and the dish soap kills them. We have caught quite a few in the house, and we even tried it outside and we caught about 30 in one day. It's amazing! Good luck

I asked this same questions in here a couple weeks ago. I did what Ducky said and in just a couple of hours they were floating in the vinegar. I left it sitting out several days, making fresh each morning. This will work.

make particular your drain is sparkling. in case you have a disposal, placed a cup of ice cubes and a million/4 cup of salt in it, jointly as working chilly water. this could scrub your blades. in case you have a plant close to the sink, you may spray a delicate dilution of dish cleansing soap and water on the plant to kill the bugs. make particular no longer something is rotting below the sink (even a drain leak could reason wood to rot below there, that could convey forth fruit flies).

If you keep your place clean and do dishes after every meal and take out your trash every day they should go away. If this doesn't work than you have some other fragrance keeping them around.

check your cabinets to see if you have any boxes of flour, pancake mix etc. You would be surprised what happens to them. Try to store those items in plastic containers like Tupperware.
