Personally, if I was faced with that kind of situation I would not want to be with my partner anymore if his heart was with someone else.
Has anyone views on this, or has been in that kind of situation.
If so, what did you do. Ask him or her to stay with you, or did you kick them out and end the relationship?
Thanks

I would definitely leave. What's the purpose of staying with someone who is in love with another person? It wouldn't work for me and really no one should settle for a situation like that.

My instant response would be to kick him out and send him packing however in the reality of the situation and depending on how long we had been together I would have to ask him what the other woman brought to him i did not.
If anyone has an affair/friendship/relationship outside the box it is usually one of two reasons.
1; They are serial cheats and have been allowed to get away with it in this case for me door would be bolted.
2: Something is missing from the relationship they have already got and what is missing they have found with that other person.
These situations very rarely work out because they may have found what is missing but what about the rest of the relationship the responsibility/commitments/etc list is endless. So instead of being the love of their lives it turns out to be a nightmare one ingredient is not enough to keep a relationship going.
So if I was thinking logical and practical I would have to ask what the women brings that i do not. What does she do or say I do not etc. Once I had talked it through with my partner at least i would know where i stand what i may or may not have done wrong able to see if we can work it out if not be able to hold head up high say I did my best and move on. Being "in love" is very different to saying "I love her".that is why I would question it.

If my spouse/partner was in love with someone else i'd end the relationship. Why stay with them when there always going to be thinking about the other person?

I accept as true with Finchy, you havn't suggested that he's in love with you. i'd not settle for being 2d perfect. there is this kind of challenge as taking a friendship too some distance. If this concern is stressing you out a lot then you quite favor to attend to your self and your toddler first. you mustn't be at liberty even as you're taking under consideration him being in love with some different person. in case you do not favor to sense this kind anymore then remove him and imagine of your toddler. i'd not stay with someone if i assumed they were in love with some different person and not in any respect me. in case you ever favor someone to examine with be at liberty to e-mail me. good luck in even with you do and that i wish you and your toddler good well being and happpiness. lol

I could not stay with a man who is in love with another woman because everytime he kisses me or wants to make love I would always wonder if when he closes his eyes he sees her face. If he is still in love with her, he evidently chose to stay for the kids or for other reasons that he wont explain that would probably complicate things for the both he and the woman he is seeing especially if she is married also. If he chose to stay, he and the mistress could have realized the selfish mistake they made at potentially destroying 2 families or 1 family if he or she is single and wanted to try to do the right thing for the sake of the kids.

I would ask him to leave. How could you stay with a person knowing that they wanted to be with someone else? Probably if they got the chance to be with this person they would be off pronto. Even if children were involved I would still make him go. If he just wasn't in love with me but not in love with anyone else either, and we had children, then he could stay. Not in the scenario that you paint though. Out the door with you, Mate!

i would say let him go. right now he is sorry but if you don't let him go he will be annoyed by your existence. some people can love multiple partners. however the degree of love can never be equal. u always love one person a little more than others. he may have some love for you left (along with the feeling of guilt) but he thinks he loves the other woman more strongly. at this point, he doesn't realize that the initial attraction will be wore off eventually. let him go with his stupidity. he will be sorry for himself later.

Ask him to leave and go to his new friend, so as you can also move on with a new partner, just the thought of this will drive him crazy.

His loss your gain, stay strong.

Would "I" leave or would "I" stay???
NO!!! "I" would NOT leave, but "HE" would!!!
"I" would stay, "HE" would GO!!! I am NOT about to uproot my boys because their father is in love with someone else. She can have him.
I'm sure glad my life is dull compared to many. My husband & I may not party & get crazy, but we're happy together, with our boys & our lives. Neither of us has ever gone a day without calling the other just to see how the other one is & say HI. We never hang up the phone or leave to go someplace without saying I LOVE YOU & Yes!!! we still kiss good night......
Thank Goodness for DULL!!!!

Well if my wife ever said she was in love with someone else or even if I thought/sensed she was then it be 'bye bye' and I know she would do the same with me. Why stay with someone if they feel they love someone else, what's the point. I certainly couldn't live with that situation.
Maybe some people are that desperate and would keep them. But it sure wouldn't be me or my wife.
