no according to my records the harvest moon is friday the 6th of october.....but if you want to get technical, the harvest moon was in september, and oct is the blood moon, and the blood moon gets her name from the fact that she rises to fullness during the opening of hunting seasons everywhere

Technically the Harvest Moon was in September.
The October Full Moon is also known as Full "Hunters" or "Blood" Moon (defined as the first full moon following the harvest moon; from hunting practice of riding over the stubble of reaped grain fields pursuing foxes by the light of the moon.); also Full Travel Moon, Full Dying Grass Moon.

edit................................
The Harvest Moon is the full moon that appears nearest to the autumnal equinox, which occurs on or about 23 September. This moon is also known as the Wine Moon, the Singing Moon and the Elk Call Moon. About once every four years it occurs in October, depending on the cycles of the moon.

No, tonight (10/6/06) is considered the Blood moon or Hunter's moon. In Celtic traditions it is called Ivy moon.

I think technically it is this coming Friday.
Yes it is at 11:13 pm eastern time on Friday. Last month was the Corn moon. Hunter's moon is Nov 5 this year.
