It depends on what you want it to do - I've used it for arthritis and it works wonders - if you use both acupuncture and traditional medicine - like a prescription drug or similar - that is when you get the best results.

Depends on who's doing it. It's been around for over 2000 years. There must be something to it.

to understand Accupuncture you have to have an open mind. all over your body you have meridians of energy flow (your internal energy is called Chi). each meridian corresponds with a different organ in your body. before the session starts the accupuncturist will test your meridian flow for blocks of energy. then the needels are placed in the area that is blocked in the meridian, this could be at several differnet points if it is really blocked. if you are able to see the needels you may be able to see them move (swaying back and forth) that is the energy pushing through..... blocked meridians can attribute to muscle cramps, tension, even problems with your organs. it is helpful, but like i said you have to have an open mind.

Acupuncture will work on any condition which is physiologically reversible. Pain, spasm, asthma, headaches, colic, blood pressure etc. Don't try it for tumours, benign or malignant. keep your own set of needles so that HIV/Aids or hepatitis can be avoided

My aunt had it for her asthma (I know, I know...) but she said she felt a difference immediately. I think it would definitely be worth a try.
