What kind of crap is that? Like no woman would know that in certain cases you can have your engine rebuilt? Just because you can't even take your car somewhere to have the oil changed doesn't mean men are the only ones who know anything about cars! You should just ask the question and let people answer. I have seen plenty of men who don't know anything about cars... and why the hell does it matter what kind of car you have? Oh, and it's NISSAN, and is probably being built by GM by now...

That could be a cracked block. Junk!
If not, repair may be an option.
It may be as cheap and/or better to buy a rebuilt engine. Those are completely torn down and rebuilt by competent technicians.
You may have a damaged transmission as well.
I had both at one time when an engine overheated.

you can...however these days you can buy either a long block or a short block...for what it costs to rebuild it. If your other components such as the head and all that is in good shape then a short block is in order. If you have doubts about it get the long block. Also many salvage yards do have good engines which they will warranty.
I would check the cost of rebuild v. buying rebuilt before doing anything.

women can know about cars to... dont limit your question to a man just because they generally know stuff.
you can have your engine rebuilt if the damages are not too extensive... but more than likely it will cost more to do that than it would be to buy one...
with older cars alot of people go to a junk yard and get a used... if you are planning on keeping the car for along time... i would buy a new so that you have a warrenty..

I would think that it would depend on how badly the engine is damaged. Be careful when you go to the mechanic. There are some who will try to rip you off if they think you won't know the difference.

YOU COULD HAVE IT REPAIRED BUT IT WILL COST YOU LIKE CRAZY. BEST THING TO DO IS FIND A USED ENGINE AND HAVE IT PUT IN YOUR CAR. CALL THE JUNK YARDS AND LOCATE A GOOD USED ENGINE.
