Funny. Votes. No wonder nobody's answering. Irrelevances don't attract crowds.

"Should there be" is why no one answered before. What you really need to do is phrase it as, "Will there be..."

Will there be is a speculative question. I don't live in California, so I have no idea. But since the governor's race is going this year, it would make sense for folks to vote. Will they? Who knows?

Should there be? That's asking whether it's right or wrong for voter turnout to go up. It's almost always a good thing when voter participation goes up. And usually voter participation only goes down, because folks don't value the power of their vote in our country.

To be honest, though, since most people form their political views these days based not on hard news coverage but off crud like The Daily Show, late night talk show monologues and SNL's Weekend Update... well, maybe it's better that some of those people DON'T vote... Even though that's VERY un-PC to say.

No, the voter turnout will decline. The democrats have a candidate for governor that can't even make voters excited. Since there are more democrats in the state, and the democratic candidate for governor seems to be a bust, voter turnout is going to drop.

I doubt it. Presidential elections usually have a larger turnout than 'off year' congressional elections.

Not if the illegals & crimnals are not allowed to vote like they did in Florida in 2000. The honest people who should vote dont in off year elections.
