The way to answer this is to remember the order of precedence for performing the individual component equations in your larger equation.

Do the exponents first. (3^3 = 27) and (6^2 = 36)

That leaves you with the following equation:

27/(36 - (16+8))

Do the inside-most parentheses next. (16+8 = 24)

That leaves you with the following equation:

27/(36-24)

Do the parentheses next. (36-24 = 12)

That leaves you with the following equation:

27/12

Do the division next. (27/12 = 2.25 or, written as a fraction, 2-1/4)

So the answer is two and one-fourth.

3 to the third power is 3x3x3 = 27
6 to the second power is 36; (16+8) is 24; 36 - 24 is 12

So you have 27/12 which reduces to 9/4

Equation:3^3/[6^2-(16+8)]
=27/[36-24]
=27/12
27/3=9 and 12/3=4
The answer is 9/4

If you divide it it's going to be: 2 and 1/4 or 2.25

if the equation like this ... 3^3/[6^2-(16+8)] then it goes like this:
3^3=27,
6^2=36
the equation would be : 27/[36-(16+8)]=27/[36-24]=27/12=2.25

i hope its correct and helpful
