"They" are saying it because in the entertainment industry, you're always looking for the next best thing, the next best thing to capitalize from. It's never about a comparisson of actual talent, but about what their public appeal does for the company's bank accout.
And no, Ciara has nothing on the late Aaliyah...the girl was and still is hot as hell. Her music was definitely better than Ciara's.

Both are great artist, but Ciara is the princess of crunk, and Aaliyah (rip) is the princess of r&b. Ciara can dance and she is getting her feet wet. Aaliyah was an actress, with no bs roles slash musician. They both have proven themselves in the music biz. I think that they are in two different categoreis.

Aaliyah is way better, just cause of the song Try Again, and ciara is supposedly a Trany.

That isn't a comparison at all,Aaliyah is a born legend and she shouldn't be on here.Why didn't they say Ciara and Rhianna.
