Hmm... there are many that seem nice to know:

1. One who knows not, and himself knows he knows not, is a student. Teach that person.
2. One who knows, and others know he knows, is a teacher. Learn from that person.
3. One who knows, and himself knows not that he knows, is humble. Encourage him.
4. One who knows not, and himself knows not that he knows not, is stupid. Avoid that person.

Rule your mind or it will rule you

There is usually an inverse proportion between how much something is on your mind and how much its getting done.

There is no reason ever to have the same through twice, unless you like having that thought.

It is hard to fight an enemy who has outposts in you head.

It does not take much strength to do things, but it requires a great deal of strength to decide what to do.

Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Its one thing to write down that you need milk; it's another to be at the store and remember it.

Every decision to act is an intuitive one. The challenge is to migrate from hoping it's the right choice to trusting its the right choice.

Ones that helped me along the way are:

We all have a reason, just like everyone else. God never puts something in front of you that he doesn't - mean - to be there. He never gives you more then you can handle. And that is the beauty of life.

If you don't like something, don't complain, change it yourself.

Stabbing someone with a knife, drawing it out and apologizing repeatedly isn't going to change anything because the wound is still there.

Holding a grudge on someone is as same as burning down your own house to get rid of a rat.

Two pairs of eyes and ears are better then one.

He who refuses to grow gets swallowed by life.

And the best one, is what I say all the time: Stay safe.

take advantage of your self, for that's all there is of you. Be no longer petrified of transforming into slowly, be afraid in elementary words of status nevertheless. even as all is asserted and performed the elements and love are the only issues your not in any respect particular of. do not bypass round saying the international owes you a residing. the international owes you no longer some thing. It develop into right here first. anybody is entitled to be stupid, yet some abuse the privilege. relations isn't about whose blood you've. that's about who you care about. happiness regularly sneaks through a door that you left open. do no longer bypass the position the direction may lead on, bypass fairly the position there is not any direction and leave a path there develop into once a real me, yet i had it surgically bumped off. misery loves organisation. i like being married. that's so large to locate that one particular individual you want to annoy for some thing of your existence. when I stand earlier God on the right of my existence, i'd wish that i don't have a unmarried little bit of expertise left, and may want to assert, "I used each and every thing you gave me". do no longer stay in the previous, do no longer dream of the destiny, concentration the options on the present second. the purpose of existence is a existence of purpose. You fall out of your mom's womb, you crawl throughout open united states lower than fireplace, and drop into your grave. it isn't length of existence, yet intensity of existence. God writes fairly some comedy... the difficulty is, he's stuck with such fairly some undesirable actors who don't understand the thanks to play humorous.

This was the advice that I received from my Drama teacher in college. He said, "Make sure that no matter what you do, you know why you are doing so."

Knowing your motivations to act the way you do is a sure way to know yourself ultimately. And this has proven to be a very effective (although difficult) and rewarding in practice.

There are times when I have to push boundaries of my thought processes to a great extent to know my intentions (as our subconscious mind is too huge and it is also the birth place of many of our desires and intentions), but the results leave me with a sense of victory over my own ignorance of my own nature.

There are lapses in my practicing this. But I am getting better at it every time.

My teacher may not be a great preacher, but he surely did hit the core with this advice.

And I am very grateful to have been guided in this manner. It's above all the life- formulae that I've come across in my life.

And I hope that this may help somebody somewhere.

It sounds corny, and I first heard it on one of my kids teeny bopper movie, "A Walk to Remember." It's a quote attributed to Dolly Parton, "Find out who you are and do it on purpose."

If God saw fit for you to have your unique personality, likes and dislikes, and your abilities, wouldn't he want you to live in a fashion that suits your design?

This is the best advice I've ever heard ... words to live by.

I have a few favorite quotes... Here they are. I hope you love them as much as I do.

"It concerns us to know the purposes we seek in life, for then, like archers aiming at a definite mark, we shall be more likely to attain what we desire." -- Aristotle

"The believer is happy. The doubter is wise."

"If you think education is expensive, try ignorance."

"Sin lies only in hurting other people unnecessarily. All other "sins" are invented nonsense. (Hurting yourself is not sinful - just stupid)." -Robert A. Heinlein

"Yield to temptation. It may not pass your way again." -Robert A. Heinlein

Look to this day!
For it is life, in its brief coarse lie.
All the verities and realities of your existence.
The bliss of growth, the glory of action.
The splendour of beauty.
For yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision.
But, today well lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, and every tomorrow a vision of hope.

My encouragement, for each and everyday!
Look well therefore to this day.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

I can't tell you how many times I heard this from my mother. So simply put. Not to mention, it seemed to apply, as a great defense, to any excuse I ever tried to justify.

Kant's Universal Imperative is good, but it is a negative mirror image of the classic, "Love your neighbor as you love yourself." by Jesus the Nazarene.
Mom's "Eat all of your brocolli." isn't all that good. I've always the song lyric, "Don't spit in the wind."
