"Defender of the Faith"

The "faith" refers to the Catholic religion, for Henry wrote a book in defense of the seven holy sacraments. This title was bestowed upon him in 1521 by pope Leo X (the son of Lorenzo d'Medici). Its kind of funny because he has the title of defender of the faith, yet a few years later he would start a new church that went against the Catholic faith.
