Have not read any articles on this topic.
But, take the example of India. Education is given high priority - that is why the economy is on a tear.

i haven't come across a article on it. however, i believe that if you don't education the future leaders/business man/women now then their will be no activity and growth in the economy in the future. thus leading to a terrible economy.

The more education you have, the more money you make, the more disposable income you have to spend on non-essential goods and services. If your just a poor person you spend every dime you make on everyday necessities and therefore your input to the economy is minimul. If your a filthy rich bastard you spend cash on everything and it keeps the cycle perpetuating itself. The latest figures I've heard is that we went from 1st in education to 8th in the latest worldwide compilation of data.

Tuition for college is outrageous. God forbid, if the kids going to school now a days never be a comptroller for any state.
Not saying all kids..

In most cases, school teachers are quite liberal, therefore they are going to impose their views and beliefs onto their students. Thus making are economy very liberal based.
