I`m looking for an apartment in NJ (Middletown, Red Bank, Eatontown, Long Branch area) with washer and dryer in it. I have to admit it`s almost impossible to find one. Does anybody know anything about it? I would apreciate any information on that subject.
If I won`t be able to find exactelly what I`m looking for -is it possible to buy dryer and washer on my own and hook it all up in the apartment that doesn`t have it? (is it legal and does it pay off). Anybody tried something like that?
Thanks for any advice.

Try looking on apartments.com - they have alot of listings in New Jersey - you probably couldn't hook one up on your own, as you would need to have the water supply and venting done, which would alter the apartment and probably would violate a lease agreement, unless you received permission from the landlord.

I don't know about NJ but if you are allowed it must be with landlord permission and then you are liable for any damages such as leaks or fire from dryer. That's why a lot of landlords don't allow them because they can cause a lot of damage when people don't really care or pay attention. If you were on 2nd floor and it leaked through floor ,through ceiling to apt. below you can see what it would cost to repair all that damage. Good luck though.

www.CraigsList.com

You get very spoiled when you are used to a washer and dryer!

FYI, it would cost you at least $800 to do this, and this is if the plumbing is easily accessable.
