Unfortunately, I am the one who has to pave it.....Oh how I wish it was already taken care of for me. *sigh* As I look behind and see what materials I've used in the past I sometimes shudder. I think I've decided, for the road ahead, I will use "hope" as the main ingredient. Perhaps I will add a speck of "inspiration" and maybe even a morsel of "confidence". I can't guarantee that bits of temptation and curiosity won't find their way into the mix eventually, but I do have my trusty "sack of lessons learned" dangling off my shoulder just in case I need a refresher course on "what not to do".
Where will this road I pave lead me to in the end? *shrugs* That is what I am eager to see. For after all, although my eye is on the destination, the journey is the reward. I am grateful just to have the opportunity to experience it all no matter what I choose to pave it with.

Who said anything about it being paved?
It's more like a danger zone with all the construction that's going on.
All jokes aside...
My road ahead is paved with my own good intentions with a few temptations along the way. Like this totally gorgeous guy in my Political Science class. Then there's this boredom obstacle i keep running into. And then i hope it's paved with my successes because i already know my failures are there...
And it's paved with mystery.
It's a little dark.
I can't see very well.
But i'm hoping the streetlights (my family and friends) will guide my way...

Ok, some pretty good sappy answers here. But, hey, it's time to put the pedal to the metal. My road? Solid gold. Failure is not an option. Success? Guaranteed. Mediocrity? Oh, please. Temptation? Ooooohhhh YES! Something else? Many, many, many things. Just take a left at Satisfaction Street, a right on Perfection Ave. and pull up to my place called Bliss.

The path to hell is paved with good intentions. If I have bad intentions does that mean I am going to heaven? How ironic. I am working on my 360. How does that work. Can we e-mail back and forth rather than question and answer. Reply next time you answer one of my lame questions. You sound like a very young 40 something. I have known people who stopped growing intellectally at 25. Age is a state of mind.

Someone told me in school that the roads were paved with gold. When I got out I realized they were not paved with gold, they were not even paved, and I was going to pave them.

My road is everything that a road ought to be...and yet I will not stay on it half a mile, for the reason that little, seductive, mysterious roads are always branching out from it on either side, and as these curve sharply also and hide what is beyond, I cannot resist the temptation to desert my own chosen road and explore them.

It's paved with rose petals. My husband is a romantic, and does his best to look out for me.
