I saw a Real Madrid video where Roberto Carlos free-kicked the ball maybe 2 meters in front of the goal, with the wall right on the goal line.

Indirect free Kick
1- when a player pass the ball back to the goal keeper and he picks it up
2- Dangerous plays . when a player raises his foot up in the air near his opponents face . or when he descend from above with his foot above his opponents foot to take the ball

Where will the wall stand ?

1- if the ball is more then 10 yards away from the goal line .. the ref. counts 10 yards and set up their wall
2- if the ball is less 10 yards away . they stand on the goal line

how could he shoot it ?

the free kick cant be shot on the target directly .. wont be a goal unless it hits somebody in the way of the same team or the opponents or even the keeper
usually players dont shoot it directly . someone touches it first moves it for few centimeters or even doesnt move it at all . touching it is enough . and the other blast it towards the goal

Rally X has the only correct answer. The player plays the ball back to the keeper with his foot (heading or playing it back with the chest is allowed) and the goalie (under pressure picks up the ball. This could result in a free kick taken inside the penalty box if the player footed the ball back to the keeper from a spot within the penalty box.

Indirect freekick. in which were the player passes the ball back to hes own goal keeper an the goal kepper picks it up, or you can also have a drop ball inside the box, in which were the reffere cannot decide who to give the freekick to so its a drop ball between two players from either side.

It is when a player who cant handle the pressure passes the ball back to the keeper and the stupid keeper picks up the ball....thats not allowed in soccer...keepers cant handle back passes...so the stupid ref wid no life comes in and gives the opposition a 10 yard free kick...and unfortunately they sumtyms score...!!!!

the ref has the power to move the ball forward 10 yards in a free kick.......so if the infraction occured outside the box and it is moved ahead the 10 yrds so its inside then it remains a free kick..........

is a possibility to kick an INDIRECT sho t , but it is called so because the 1st. player cannot shoot into the goal
