Beg to differ - Green Day is another link in a long chain of great punk bands that dates back to the Standells, the Stooges and MC5, and continued through the New York Dolls, the Heartbreakers, the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, the Clash, the Bad Brains, Fear, X, Black Flag, Bad Religion, Nirvana, Offspring, Rancid, etc.
Green Day show much more talent and much more creativity than any hundred Pop-Punk Poseur bands the Top 40 can produce -
I like Evanescence too, but the two are in no way exclusive.

Green day is a really bad band. Honestly, I'm a recovering Green Day addict and it was the worst thing that ever happened to me. They really do have no talent. And a lot of the songs are very monotonous. They are just lucky there are a lot of dumb kids who like them. Plus, trust me, once those dumb kids hear Led Zeppelin, The Who or the The Doors, their minds they are a changing.

I really like Green Day a lot. They are definitely the only band to come out after 2000 that I can say that about.

I hate GreenDay!!! Billie Joes' voice is like....um...how do I say it....dull?? Thats not the right word, but I don't like it.
'Kmon people listen to good music, like me, I'm listening to SOAD. Arials. Yeah, thats a good song.
I also have a couple Green Day songs on my iPod, how do I delete them?

If you like Evanescense you should love Lacuna Coil, ok but anyways.. EW greenday sucks the big one. yes. i agree. some other good new rock guys out there are The Sleeping. check them out. peace

I liked the earlier works put forward by green day, but they have kinda lost their appeal. I like evanesance...
