I was wondering is there any kind of toy you can buy for a baby who is a couple days from turning 2 months old? She just seems so bored, and then looks around and little and starts screaming like i need something to do this life is boring. I know that sounds probably kind of weird but there has to be something she can do i would think?

get one of those activity blankets and lay her on her tummy.
this will encourage her to get her head up and give her something to look at while she's down there. some of them even come with toys that attach or dangle over head.

There are tons of toys appropriate for her, and I can't believe that she doesn't have any yet! She probably is bored. We started introducing my son to toys at a couple weeks old. He couldn't really do anything with them, but he would look at them, and smile when they'd rattle or whatever.

There are floor mats for 'tummy time,' rattles and stuffed toys to help her learn to grasp things, gyms for when she's on her back and can kick at the dangling toys, teething rings that help her learn to bring things to her mouth (and can help ease those painful gums that she'll soon be developing), and toys that can hang on the side of the crib railing that have lights and music and some have mirrors so the baby can look at herself.

Just wander up the toy aisle, and you'll quickly find the section with baby toys. There are ages printed on the packages that say 6 mos.+, 5 mos.+, etc., Just look for the ones that say 'birth+'

My son has always played with toys that were a little above his age group, like, when he was 4 months, he would play with the things that said 6 months and up. They are a little more interesting, and some have moving parts, but you'll just want to make sure that there aren't detachable parts small enough for the baby to get into her mouth.

Playskool makes a cute tummy time toy. It lays down flat on the floor so they can look at it and make it play music by bumping it with their hands. It also stands up so the baby can lay on her back and look at the lights while the music plays.

At 2 months rattles might be a good idea, if she can't hold a rattle get a wrist rattle. You might have to buy some toys that you will have to work for her, but that's okay because playing with her is good for bonding.

There are lots of toys that are appropriate for her age. You can get her a gymni, which is like a mat that goes on the floor and has an arch over it, then lay her down in it, and attach some toys to the arch. (They have toys that are made for the gymni.) She should love it. Both of my children did, and I started putting them in it right around 2 months.

head on over to walmar, or babies r us....
any toy that has nice contrast, they can really see them better. ex. black and whites, reds, nothing that is too pastel. She'll love to just stare at them!

If you have a bouncer with an overhead to hang toys from, a lot of these colorful type toys are hangable....

since she probably can't pick anything up yet..i would just lay her down underneath a toy. like a play gym or something colorful and musical that she can look and watch!

I agree with SO...
Rattle is the best one so far. It's simple, and you can exercise her hearing too...
Other things you can get are: bouncy seat, crib toys (the non-battery-operated ones) which c an make noises when she hits it, books with sounds.

My two-month-old loves to read. I bought him "The lifesize animal opposites book" (ISBN: 1564587207) which has big-size animals pictures in contrast color. He always laughs when I read him the book
