Conservative Islamics in Iran have lowered the age of consent to 9.
Personally, I think it should be 21.

HAHA!!!!! Liberals are the ones who think gay rights and abortion are ok. I'm a conserative and I believe you should really save it for marriage. Most people don't believe you should so I think the age should be 21.

If they do it will be about time. Personally I have thought for years that the age of consent as well as the age of majority (the age one is considered to be a fully legal adult) in the US should be 13. (course I'm still mad at the age limit becaseu it casued the death of my first wife).
There really is no reason for not lowering it, acceopt for people that don't wan it lowered becasue THEY didn't get to benefit from it when THEY were that age. Beyond that there is not a singe Intellectual, psychological, emotional or physiological reason NOT to lower it. I hope it does result in the ages being lowered, it would be nice to see something beneficial to a segment of the population that is consistantly oppressed (in this case ADULTS from 13 to 17 inclusive) come from a politician for a change.

WELL, it does seem that everything else they do that is illegal they get caught at, they then change the laws to make it legal so I would say they will.
