I don't know anything about any of this. I don't know who he is, what he did to get all this media attention. I am wondering what happened.

Thanks Everyone. I really don't watch too much TV, and if I do, it's usually a children's show with my son.

he got caught sending text messages, IM and emails to underage boys that were questionable in nature (sexual in nature).

the problem is that he claims to be an alchoholic (not buying it..since most of his friends have claimed he is NOT a drunk)...gay...which he actually MIGHT be...and abused by a clergy man.

What happened was a few sleazy liberals outed this flirtatious, homosexual republican congressman from Florida, who had a fetish for congressional page's. The irony of all this is this guy Foley has been bangin around the congressional corridors for a number of years, and everyone was aware of his having the hots for little boys. Like, this is what homosexuals do!

In any case, the sleaze that I mentioned earlier decided this was a good time to broadcast to the world, just what this bad boy Foley was up to. After all, it's just 30 days before the elections so this bit of filth will still be in the minds of the voters, come election day.

My take on all this is the liberals who outed Foley were doing it for political purposes, not for moral reasons, and that's too bad!
Personally, I'd love to see the liberals take the backlash over this, it was such a unprofessional thing to do.

Rupublican Florida Congressman, resigned after being comfronted by ABC with info about lewd e-mail messages he sent to teenage boys in Congress' Page program. Now he says he is an alcoholic and gay. Maybe he is, who cares, tons of people are, but they dont prey on children. That is what he needs to be apologizing and getting help for!

Several days ago, Congressman Foley was assumable drunk on a certain night. During his "drunkenness", he sent several e-mails declaring that he was molested during the ages of 14 and 15. He also declared that he was..."gay". He later protested the fact that he was drunk, but agreed that he did send those messages. So far, this is all the information that has been given.

He was sending sexually explicit emails and IM's to a teenage intern. Don't you watch TV. That's all they have been showing. It's getting really annoying.
