It's a clump of cells that has no guarantee of ever turning into a human. What do you think?

I think it is funny that all these religious nuts scream about how an embryo is as important as a live person. They treat a clump of cells with more respect than they do living plants and animals. Talk about a jumbled hierarchy of values...

No. An embryo has no absolute guarantee of being born (and becoming a member of society), while a live human being is already a contributing member of society. In addition, it's easy to get pregnant again while it is virtually impossible to replace the knowledge and contrinutions that are lost when an adult dies.

Depends on what one considers moral and immoral.

In my opinion, a fertilized embryo is not more important than someone who has already been born. After all, not much one tiny thing can do anyhow.

But that's just me.

To the people who fertilized the embryo? Most likely. To me? Nope. It's all relative.

I believe that we cannot nor should we ever place a higher value on either or when concerned with 'fertilized embryos' or an 'existing human being'. Allow me to say this "I formed you in the womb". God knew each and every one of us before we were even born. We are his children and he says as much, even those yet to enter the world of man.

Not more but "just" since it is a human being such as a person already born.
Mr. M on "embryo."

Well since both are in fact human beings, I'd say that neither is more important than the other. They are equally important. That kind of judgment is best left up to God.

Nope! If it came down to a choice between my three children that are here or my unborn child, well there is no choice. My children that are already here are more important.

Human life is equally important no matter how small or big, young or old.
