It would seem if MLM is such a great vehicle for earning money, and being that it has been around since the 60's, that someone would have finally earned their way to being super rich. But there is not one MLMer famous outside of MLM that didn't make their money selling books or something, nor is there an MLMer that is a billionaire.
It is because MLM really doesn't grow like they all tell you it does? Is it really just a load of crap like most people tell you it is? What gives?

The question evidently goes right over the head of domers13. No one is saying that people in MLM don't make money...the point is that no one in MLM has ever made BIG money. Don't give me the "time" reasoning either, MLM has been around long enough for at least a single example of someone who would make it big. After all, isn't the whole basis that your downline grows exponentially? Wouldn't it makes sense than that someone by now would have a downline so massive as to be making BILLIONS?

Its a load of crap and fairly close to a ponzi scheme.
More often than not, MLMer try to such you in with the get rich quick thing but that won't happen. They're also usually predicated on a strange business-model of who buys what when and how you get paid.

How many people do you know who are working a conventional job and earning billions? Don't you think your question is a little unreasonable?
You posted earlier that your upline has asked you to build a downline, which means you are in MLM currently.
The concept is so simple and people are working very hard in sales and earning phenomenal incomes. They do exist.
I don't know why people find it so difficult to understand that MLM is merely another way of marketing a product, but the money goes through the levels rather than going to the CEO of a company. Oddly enough, people have no problem with dropping their dollar in Wal-mart, where the average person who works the hardest, earns the least money. The rest all goes to corporate. Everyone is fine with that.
Well, I for one am not fine with that. If I do the work, I expect to be paid in direct proportion to my efforts, not a meager percentage goes to me and the rest goes to the corporate office where they tell me when to be there, what to do and when I can take holidays. They also demand the most effort for the least pay. If you're okay with that, then continue working in the conventional way, but I will be busy marketing my product, helping people with their health and earning more money than all those who disrespect what I do.
I am convinced that you are in the wrong MLM company based on your questions. If you were with the right company, you would be busy earning money and helping others to do the same, giving people an opportunity they never thought possible.
It's what I do and I'm proud of it.
As for famous people, we have several in our organization including the world's 3 top marathon runners as well as several other famous athletes, a couple of Hollywood producers, some actors and actresses, many members of Nascar as well as some of the top Doctor's and Oncologists in the US and Australia. Not to mention Dr. Earl Mindell, author of the Vitamin Bible. They're out there, you're just not looking.

MLM organizations do not count on someone growing a huge downline. They count on having thousands of "part-timers" with small downlines. This way, they get to keep most of the profits themselves. They count on people dropping out. MLM is no different than any other small business - its hard work. It takes consistency, dedication and long hours. The fact is that everyone wants to make the easy money. Most learn after a while that no such thing exists.
I do know a few millionaires from MLM but they are not famous. As for billionaires, I doubt it unless you start the company.
One of the most famous MLMers is Dick DeVos from Amway - he is currently running for Governor of the State of Michigan. Although, his dad did start the company.

There are many MLM'ers making a lot of money every year, but just like any other field, there are a few who will be very successful, and a great many who will fail. Anyone who says it is not work is lying to you. Success in MLM takes time, a lot of effort and a great company.

Because it is easier to make money with a pyramid scheme than with an MLM.
But pyramid schemes are illegal, so they use MLMs use hype to get them in.
The odds of making it in an MLM are about 1 in 20,000. They have over a 99.9% failure rate. That is their dirty little secret.

Religiously speaking Princess, I'd pray that you get your head out of the crack of your butt and grow up! Other than that, nobody really cares what you do. And leave Timmy alone! He's never going to be into you! He knows you're a flake too! *
